Azure Consultant (w/m/d)

Your mission

To support our continued growth, our Azure team is looking for an Azure Cloud Consultant (m/f/d) for the DACH region with a focus on Austria to support us in implementing our customers' digital transformation on Azure.

In this key role, you will enjoy maximum creative freedom. You will act as the primary technical contact and strategic advisor for our clients, ensuring excellent delivery in technically demanding Azure projects.


What you will do

  • Strategic Enterprise Architecture: Take end-to-end responsibility for our clients' complex Azure Cloud architectures. This includes high-level design, defining Cloud Governance Frameworks (Cost, Security, Compliance), and integrating them into existing on-premise and multi-cloud environments.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical streams in cloud transformation projects, ensure compliance with best practices (FinOps, SecOps, DevOps), and act as a technical mentor for junior consultants.

  • Consulting: Strategically advise C-level decision-makers on the client side regarding the Azure Cloud roadmap, operating model, and cloud investment plan.

  • Automation & Modernization: Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and automated deployment pipelines in enterprise environments.

  • Complex Requirements Management: Translate highly complex business requirements into scalable technical solution concepts and oversee the coordination of their technical implementation.

Your profile

  • Experience: Several years of proven professional experience in a consulting, lead engineer, or architecture role, ideally within a service provider or enterprise environment.

  • Azure: Practical experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Networking, Security Center, Entra ID, Azure DevOps, AKS, Azure Functions).

  • Architecture Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Cloud Governance, IT Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM/Zero Trust), and FinOps principles.

  • Certifications: An Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification or equivalent qualification is a strong plus.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Business-fluent communication and presentation skills in German and English, with a proven ability to present technical concepts effectively to C-level executives and influence strategic decisions.

  • Analytical & Pragmatic Strength: Strong analytical skills paired with a hands-on mindset in implementation.

  • Salary is paid in accordance with the IT Collective Agreement (IT-Kollektivvertrag). Depending on your qualifications and experience, we are very open to offering a significant overpayment above the collective agreement baseline.
